- Annual Candle Lighting Service
The Annual Candle Lighting Service is held each year on the second Sunday of December in conunction with the Annual World Wide Candle Lighting in memory of our beloved children and siblings. The program hosts a guest speaker, music and singing, readings and poetry, and each person lights a candle in memory of their loved one.
- Annual Service of Remembrance
The Annual Service of Remembrance is held the last Sunday in September each year and features guest speakers, readings, musical selections and a potluck dinner honoring the memory of our deceased children and siblings."
- Community Educational Programs
Programs are presented by authors, informed advisors and educators on the subject of grief and bereavment. Workshops for school personnel and other professionals are offered on how to deal with bereaved families. A speakers bureau provides speakers for organizations, church groups, hospitals, and others.
- Library
At each County meeting place there is a library which contains various materials on death, grief, suicide, poetry, marriages, differences in men and women's grieving, and helping surviving children, co-workers, friends, and relatives to deal with grief. Much of the material has been donated in memory of our children and siblings."
- Newsletter
A monthly newsletter is published containing upcoming events, meetings and various readings, along with original poetry, a sibling section and "Our Children Remembered" on the anniversaries of their birth and death." |
